01, Business context
Northern Star Homes · Custom home building
Engagement: Ongoing
Northern Star builds custom homes where the finish and the process need to feel as premium as the product. Most buyers start online. If the site does not look and read like a builder that sweats the details, they move to the next name on the list. The team is small. Time spent fielding the same entry-level questions is time not spent with buyers who are ready to talk scope, budget, and schedule.
02, What was wrong
The gap before the work.
The old site underplayed the work. Galleries and proof points did not read in a clear order, so trust had to be rebuilt in person. Leads that did come in were not always the right fit, and a big chunk of the day went to questions the site could have covered: process, what custom means here, and what to have ready before a first call.
03, What Flowpoint changed
The build, by piece.
01
Web experience to match the build
Layout, type, and imagery treated like a portfolio, not a template. The first scroll reads like a walk through what they actually deliver, so the brand feels consistent from URL to job site.
02
What buyers need in order, not hidden
Custom process, typical timelines, and what to expect in a first meeting placed where the questions actually come up, so a serious buyer self-selects before they request time on the calendar.
03
Leads with context, not a bare email
Forms and prompts that ask build stage, location, and what they are trying to figure out, so the reply can be specific and the right person picks it up with less back-and-forth.
04
Self-serve for the repeat questions
FAQs, process pages, and clear calls on scope so the same five questions are not a phone script anymore. Frees the team to handle the issues that need a person.
05
Spend and response you can read
Tracking from click to inquiry so the builder can see which messages and which channels bring project-ready interest, and adjust without guessing.
04, What improved
In operations today.
The site now carries the first impression the houses already earned in the field, and the team spends less of the day re-answering the same starter questions. More of the right conversations, fewer detours.
Client quote
We build homes that need to be walked to be believed. The old site was not in the same league as the work on the ground, and that first impression matters before we ever pick a lot together.
Flowpoint gave us a web experience that finally matches the quality of our builds. The photography, the flow, and the way the story is told all feel intentional. We are seeing more of the right inquiries, with details that help us respond faster, and the site handles the questions we used to answer on every first call so our team is not stuck repeating the same ground-level talk all day.
We are not after more random leads. We want better conversations with people who are serious about a custom home, and the site is doing a lot of the sorting before we get on the phone.
